Default One last queston for the day.

When exiting my 08 xj8 I noticed the steering wheel do its thing by retracting so I can get my big belly out of the car, but the seat doesnt move to an exit position. Should it?
Also. I can't seem to get the memory button to take. I positioned my seat and hit the memory button , waited for the light and then hit the #1 button to set it. I then turn everything off move the seat to a random position and go back and hit the #1 button but the seat doesn't move.
Whats up. What am I doing wrong?
I know ,,, that was 2 questions. Sorry but thanks for any help in advance.

Hi

I am just trying to get used to these moving seats with my 03 XJ6 !

Clearly if the seat is at max to the rear it cannot move back. Other thing is the key has to be in the ignition, and the door closed. If that is the case, you have a small problem. At least the seat still moves when instructed. You could try memory setting on M2 or M3 to see what happens.

Default jaguar seats are tricky

In my 2002 XJR, the seat memory computer is very tricky. you can program memory 1 and 2, but if you program 3, it wipes out 1 and 2. also, if you go back and adjust something and reprogram any number it makes 1,2, and 3 all the same. I guess you could replace the switch unit or something but it would probably cost $800 and the new one could end up with the same problem. I just leave my seat in the same place since i'm the only one that drives the car, but i could see how this would be frustrating if multiple people used the car
