p0122 Intake Air Temp
I am getting a low intake air temp code P0122 on my 99 Jaguar Vanden Plas. In my scanner I can read the values on all the sensors and it's telling me the intake air temp is -40 degrees. It's really about 20 degrees out. As far as I can tell there is no air temp gauge unless it's built into the MAF or the throttle body. Also getting a restricted performance message, running slightly rough. Then I got a code P0332 for the knock sensors.
Any help?????
Any help?????
My chart says that P0122 is Throttle Position Sensor voltage low. TPS to ECM circuit open, TPS failure.
Your car would appear to be within the recall for reflash/replace the TB that expired 12/31/09. See the S514 recall at this link:

I may be wrong but I think P0122 is Throttle Position Sensor failure and if that is the case you may want to look into the plug connection failure. I know it is a problem with my 99xk8 P0121 TSB 303-58 but not sure on yours. You can go to my page and see what I did. http://www.gusglikas.com/AutoRepTB.htm
makes more sense. My code reader is pretty old and may just not be used to jaguars either. Maybe it's just a loose connection as i did just replace the engine. Old engine ran good but knocked bad. This engine must not have a temp sensor explaining the -40 temp.
