With gutted cats how can it run properly? I expect it can't.

Those are all rich codes, not necessarily related to cat delete, but the reduction in back pressure may be a factor.

ive gutted cats on just about all my vehicles. and all ran better afterwards. all codes are pending and clear them selves except the bank 1 sensor 1 high voltage which I suspect that o2 sensor needs to be replaced which im doing within the week and also getting o2 sensor extensions for the downstream sensors.

I put extentions on the downstream sensors on my Maserati but had to take them off because they caused a rich mixture resulting in the P0132/0152 codes. It even shut the engine down once.

Hi Jrp79,

The Engine Management System training manual may be helpful in determining whether the ECM can properly manage fueling with the cats deleted. You can download the manual here:

Jaguar Service Training Course 881 V6/V8 Engine Management

The Diagnostic Trouble Codes Summaries guide gives the Jaguar definitions of each code and lists some of the more common possible causes. You can download it here:

Jaguar DTC Summaries 1998

Cheers,

Don
