Default P1222 Pedal Position Sensor

I've been chasing problems this summer all around the car. It started with an occasional misfire only when running the AC and idling in gear. While it never through a code eventually I replaced ignition coil #1 and this resolved the misfire. Only a short time later the car although driving normally through codes PO175 and P0172 I swapped the MAF sensor and the stored codes have since gone away without clearing. Most recently the car has been showing P1222 and the accompanying restircted performance, transmission fault, ect. When I shutoff the car unplug and replug the sensor it goes away. I've tried cleaning the electrical connection without success. I thought that I would have to send the throttle body off to be repaired however wanted to come here first. Has anyone tried the pedal position sensors sold by Automotive Scientific? https://www.ebay.com/itm/13318559797...MaAgwBEALw_wcB

I chased this same problem for years before replacing the connector. Cut one from a junk car and soldered in and finally cleared that code. Not saying you may not have a bad PPS but this was my experience. (of course I changed the throttle body which did not fix the problem.)
I'd image you have cleaned it with spray and perhaps put dielectric grease in there?
It's a pain but unless you're in a bad area, removing and reattaching seemed to work for a while.

Thanks for the reply, I cleaned again. I will note the electrical connector itself is broken however it has never appeared loose upon inspection.

Send me a message. I can send you all the parts and you can just replace instead of chasing it.
