WELL HERE WE GO BOYS!! Plumsauce, you were right on the money with the valve clearances. I opened up a-bank and checked the valve clearances and found both #4 exhaust and one intake were'nt even closing. So I ran the rest of the valves on a-bank and found #3 intakes had zero lash as did one #1 intake and one #1 exhaust. The rest were all over the place so I lifted the cam and pulled all the cups and measured the valvestem heights. Again--all over the place!! WILL NOT be going back to that machine shop. Don't quite know how to approach this problem yet but we will figure it out. What would help would be if someone could tell me what sizes of shims are available and a good place to aquire.
