Angry P1745 Line Pressure solenoid system

Hi, I have a 2003 XJ8. When I started the car today the gearbox fault line came on, shortly after the check engine light came on. I had the codes read on the car and both P1745 & P1111 came up. I found what the codes mean but can anyone help explain & troubleshot the P1745 code (line pressure solenoid system)??? Thanks for the help!!

I've moved your question from Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Center to X308 forum.

The Advice / Feedback forum is for posts about the forum and not for tech questions.

P1111 is nothing, basically that everything has been checked OK.
P1745 I have not seen before... Try resetting and see if it comes back.

Did it throw the codes right after you started it or after driving a bit?

Hi thanks for the reply. It happened right after starting the car, the gearbox fault light came on. I turned the car off and restarted it. After restart the gearbox fault light went off and the check engine light came on. The check engine light is still on.

Try clearing the codes and check engine light- might just be a fluke.

P1745 is a GEARBOX DTC
You need to look in the correct Guide.

Thanks for helping the wife and I today, I didnt even think of resetting the car. I went outside to disconnect the battery cable but decided to start the car and see for myself what happened to the mrs earlier today (she posted the thread btw). Well it started right up with no messages in the center. So I decided to take it around the block and see if it would fault. Light traffic so I floored it and had no problems except the faux wood trim flying off the dash Prior to this the car hadn't been driven in 7 or 10 days, which I know can weaken the battery a bit and throw up the "gearbox fault" message till it charges up a bit. Also it has been much colder at night than usual the last few days. I suspect the cause was a weak battery, what do you think? thanks

Cleared fault codes will reset after a specified number of 'drive cycles' if the cause hasn't been rectified.

However, you're going to be unlucky if this isn't just down to the weak battery.
