Default Part load Breather after cleaning problem

Removed the PLB socket and cleaned the nipple using 3/32 drill . Had a problem getting connection back on. {any one know an easy way to do this}
Well now I have a noisy and poorly running engine and a hiss {air / vacuum .escaping ]
What have I done ? I may have pulled on the PLB tubing a bit too much .
Ah yes the tube disappears under the SC.
Any ideas of fix ?
One good note was in removing the connector I sprayed WD-40 on it , let engine warm up and slid a thin 9?16" open end wrench around nipple between it and the connector. Gently pried / pushed up rotating wrench . Connector slid right off . No pulling or tugging except DAH! on re connect.

Any ideas
Txs:

To decide whether the line is damaged, tape it off with black tape to block air flow. If the care runs fine, then it is the connector. Otherwise start looking at the line.

It's very brittle and I had to use pliers on the connector after pulling the lock thing pull up and rock the connector gently and it pops out. U may have broken it.
