I just read an interesting post on some other subject by Tirefriar, and in it he mentioned the perforated leather seats in the current model jag sedans. I completely fail to see the attraction. Jaguar sedans have always had the sexiest supple leather seats in the universe and the perforations make them look like Mercedes wanna-be vinyl dinette chairs. If I had the $$$ for a brand new one (fat chance) I would also have the $ to pay an upholsterer to replace the leather in the seats.

And, of course, YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN!

 

My 98 XJR has perforated seats, I dont have any problems with them.. my back lower cushion was ripped so I switched the rear upper and lower to regular xj8 seats. I had an option of vanden plas seats but wasnt sure if they would fit and I thought they were ugly lol.

 

the perforations are required for the function of the cooled seat function that is available on newer XJ's. It was 98 degrees today in virginia and I sure wish my 2002 XJR had the cooled seats
