what are the two square plugs on the wiring harness in the trunk that are by the black cd changer coaxial cable? Is the base xj prewired for an amp so t hat you can upgrade and add? If so what is the amp to get? All the pictures I've seen on ebay take different plugs than the plugs I have. Can someone post pictures of the plugs on their wiring harness so that I can see what sup? Thanks!

I just checked - the only unused plug I've got in that area is a small one with three wires to it. I have no idea what that one is used for...

Maybe your car was wired for premium sound from the factory but didn't get the amp fitted. Here's what that would look like:

these plugs do not go into the harmon kardon or the alpine amp. I don't know what they go to but its not an amp. I found my cd changer cable so I know the car wasn't wired for premium sound. I just want to know what these 2 plugs go to. I know someone out there has these same plugs lol.

 

Two optional extras that fit in that area are the Navigation Module and the Parking Aid Module.

One of the connectors could even be the lead from the Transit Relay which is removed by the dealer during PDI.

really was trying to upload pics but my computer isn't cooperating. I have them on my iphone but can't get them to come thru on the laptop. I was hoping someone else would have pics of it. I don't have a subwoofer installed from factory but have the cut out for it....is it possible that the plugs go there? Pics anyonje else?
