Premature suspension repairs
Dear Jag Enthusiasts,
My 2003 XJR (124k miles) is in need of new upper and lower control arm bushings. The lower control arms were replaced 3 years (30k miles) ago. The CATS front shocks, which were replaced 2 years (20k miles) ago, are already leaking.
Why do these $$$ components wear so fast? Did the Jag dealership put in cheap aftermarket parts? My driving style is conservative.
Any feedback / experiences are appreciated.
Thanks,
Stefan

control arms may have just had bushings refreshed (plenty of off brand choices) or they could’ve been a genuine jag part sitting in a warehouse since forever.
shocks should last a very long time and bilstein will without a doubt warranty them
