Premium Audio System
Hello All,
I have a Jaguar XJ8 late 2001 with the standard audio system,I also have the full premium audio system from a 1998 Daimler (including head unit and all wires), I looked at Red October's guide on how to fit the premium system and it said this at the end:
So according to this I have the Alpine system in my car and the premium audio system I have got is a harmon/kardon, the question is, how much of the audio system do I have to replace in order to convert the Alpine system to a harmon/kardon, if it is even possiable, do the two systems have different wiring/plugs or will it be as simple as swapping the alpine head unit for a harmon one?

Oh, and one final point-the audio systems changed at around the 2000MY cars & are not interchangeable. Earlier Premium systems used the Harman Kardon set-up & later ones used the Alpine system, so the upgrade parts need to be chose carefully to suit your model year
