Hi all

Are the big bolts at the rear of the front subframe 29mm? It's hard to tell other than a 28 is too small and a 30 too big. I am not sure if the heads are a little damaged, or if they are a crossover from the imperial days?

In the process of stripping our 1999 XJ8 4.0 LWB. Sadly the floor is 30% missing due to rot. The front and rear chassis rails are also rotten at the V mounts and over the rear axle. It needs so much welding she is going to rest in peace (pieces). :-(

So we are trying to drop the front subframe out complete with engine and trans (which are good and available if anyone is interested?) Well, it's all going ASAP (due to moving home in 10 days), just keeping a few things as spares for our other X308.

I think those bolt heads are 1 1/8, or close imperial size
