Radio code
I bought a used 2002 Jaguar xrj the owner told me he replaced the battery.. the radio red enter code.. there's a bunch of numbers on the back of the radio I don't know which numbers they are to identify what number I need for the code but now the radio I accidentally put some four numbers and it's telling me to wait it's been telling me to wait for the last hour so I don't know what I did here or I don't know how to reverse that so I can enter the code and I don't know where to get the code at? Maybe you can help me?
You need to leave it turned on for "yonks" the more bad codes, the longer the delay before the next attempt is.
Originally the radio code came on a credit card sized bit of card, it might be in the car's paperwork somewhere if you got it off the previous owner. If not it's time to hope a dealer is feeling friendly or there's websites that'll tell you the code, I know they've worked for other people on here. I don't know which sites though, so a search of this forum would be a good start if you're going that way,

Looks like you bought the Jag only VERY recently - you have to get used to it's name first....
It's XJR, not xrj.
I had it back in my head that there is trick with the radio. I read a few forum threads, but they did not give me the answer (other than asking somewhere with the VIN no. (plus maybe VIN no of the radio) and paying money for the info).
But then I found it on youtube:
Note that this is for X-Type and S-Type, but maybe it works for the XJS as well...
