Default re-set milage on replacment dash

Hi every one,..........as part of the fault repairs on my 98 xjr I've had to replace the instrument cluster, the replacement item has come with 30k more miles on it and I have the car on a restricted milage insurance policy so that could be tricky to explain!!!........is it possible to have the milage corrected at a jag specialist or an auto electrician or am I stuck with it...?.
Thanks

Forum member Sean B (UK) mentioned having his mileage reset (done locally for £50) in an earlier post in my instrument cluster replacement thread.

I used his sugguestion and found this one in the UK while doing an intenet search to find a mileage reset service:

"Jaguar Mileage Correction
We provide mileage correction services for all Jaguars from 1993 providing they use a digital mileage correction system, all the way to 2010 & 2011 models.

Here are some examples of the cars we provide our services for:

E Type, S type, X Type, XJ, XF, XJS, XK

We are able to correct the mileage on all the mileage locations, most newer cars have the mileage recorded on more than one place, so if the mileage is corrected it has to be correct on all the memories, to avoid future confusions.

As a general rule mileage on the older Jaguars are stored on just the cluster. On the new Jaguars it’s stored on the ECU & the cluster.

If you’d like to know how many mileage locations your car has feel free to contact us and we will be able to help."

Here is website internet address:
Rapid Mileage Correction - Contact Us

50 Marcella Road, Lambeth, Greater London SW9 7QQ 07946 845828
Telephone no: 079 468 45 828

Hi Dave
Looks like there is a instrument cluster repair shop in Wellsboro, PA (ICS Instrument Cluster Store).
Here is the webpage link to their contact (email) - fill out the form on the webpage (your name, your email, then use the message area to ask them about the mileage corrections tasks that will be needed on your 2004 Jaguar XJ):

http://instrumentclusterstore.info/contact.php

I tried to call them and I got their recording saying to use their website contact email page (also mentioned a 30 minute response to any emails).

Please update this thread with whatever information you receive from them. I am sure a lot of the forum members would appreciate it.
