Default rear shocks

Can anyone tell me if the rear shock assembly from my parts car, with only 18,000 miles, a 2003 XJ8 (mfg date 03/02) will bolt into my 1999 vdp with 140,000 miles. Both are US models. Or just order and replace the bushings as shocks seem fine. Thanks Ed

You probably have the rear end cloinck? I would just do the bushings if the shocks are fine, but if in doubt replace the shocks by new ones. Personally I would never fit old shocks, they don't cost a fortune. Just fitted new bilsteins on my X300 rear end, makes a difference... But they had done 270K km's.
