Welcome while driving I went to adjust my rear view mirror and bam a piece of plastic broke holding a ring on the swivel ball. Mirror works just not as tight before the retainer broke. Can this be repaired. Thanks, she’s starting to feel her age after 22 years old.

 

Not sure if it can be fixed...I had that happen to one of my cars. Ended up buying a used one to replace it. Ebay might be the place to check....unless someone has a fix for the broken plastic ring.

 

Im not really sure what this ring looks like, but if you know someone with a 3D-printer and CAD-software it could be a very cheap fix. I presume it wouldn’t be too difficult to design a plastic ring, depending on how complex any details are. Can you add a photo of this (broken) ring? Maybe I can tell you how difficult it would be.
