Default Refurbishing my '01 XJ8L starting with front and rear suspension and transmission

Greetings, been a while. Still have the old girl and she needs some TLC. I am at 192,000 on the odometer. The motor runs well just needs a tune up. The transmission is the second one and needs help. But most of all the front end needs all new bushings, shocks and ball joints / wheel bearings and 4 new tires.

I am looking for recommendations on the rear end. I want to do the same as the front, but it looks a bit more complicated and I am looking for a write-up or advice. What to replace, what to look for etc.

I am thinking I will take about a month to get this done as I want to get it up in the air and take my time.

If anyone reading this has anything to offer in general with respect towards refurbishing anything else on the X308 your input / advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Why not drop the rear end and work on it away from the car - you can put a refreshed axle back into a restored backend, cleaning and treating/painting/replacing all the parts as you go.
