Remove top speed limiter..?
Hi Guys..
I've got my fingers, my toes and a couple of dangly things crossed that I've managed to fix all the error codes, gear box limp mode and stability/traction faults in one foul swoop by changing the electric module on the side of the gear stick.......a quick hard reset on the battery and low and behold......everything seams to work........I don't want to say that too loud in case she hears me.....lol
so now I can get her through the MOT and back where she belongs......oh yeah....and on a track day or two.....so I was wondering how I remove the speed limiter??
cheers

Having spent some time at or near the limited top speed of the XJR, I very strongly urge you not to defeat the limiter unless you significantly alter the aerodynamics of the car - the front end gets very floaty with minimal warning should you encounter even subtle wind currents at anything over 130mph. When that happens at 150mph your options are quickly limited to interment versus cremation....
