1999 Jaguar xj8 4.0L is throwing out P0303, P0300, P1313, P1316, P0102, P0112, P0135, P0141, P0155, P0161, P0741. Been sitting for 8 months with broken radiator and cooling fan, it now has a new radiator with cooling fan and spark plugs and got it to turn on and drive but the check engine light flashes and says restricted performance. It drives smooth under 3,000 RPM, so when it hits 3k rpm it stutters ... I have to let off the pedal for it to shift. So if I step on it and it rises to 2,800 RPM and I ease off the pedal for it to shift it shifts smooth. Any advice?

To make life easier for you and us...so you don't have to post your model each time, go to the User CP (task bar, top of this forum, on the left) and put your info in your Signature. Also, please tell us your location in your About Me section, this way if someone is local, they may be able to personally assist you if needed.

First thing is get the battery checked...you'll chase ghosts (like you probably have) if the battery is weak or bad. Did you have it on a trickle charger/battery tender? These cars require a minimum voltage to function properly, so this is important.

 

Flashing MIL = damage being done to the cats so fix it ASAP.
