Roof liner replacement
Hi this is my first post on the forum but as I have used lots of the how too's in the past I thought I would pay it forward.
How to change your roof liner without removing the windscreen.
To do it properly I understand you are supposed to remove your windscreen, not wanting to do that I decided I would live with a well placed bend. It is barely noticeable and a lot easier.
First the obvious, no surprises here, remove all the bits holding the roof liner on:
Then put both of your front seats down and decide where you want the fold.
It should slide straight out the back door.

Remove the speakers, I found it difficult to get out the plastic lugs and ended up pushing them from behind with pliers whilst holding the top down. Be careful as it is easy to break the flimsy material used for the liner.

Then remove the old liner and start removing the residual foam. I found a paint scraper did the trick.

Cut a new piece of material leaving a bit of extra over hang which can be trimmed later.
Use some good contact glue and glue it straight over. Just cover up the holes for now and cut them out when it dries.
*Warning*, if you push down too hard trying to smooth over the contours near the front you will find the glue seeps through and it will ruin the look.

You can see here where the fold was, it will be less obvious in time.
I took the opportunity to put in some Dyno Matt as well before putting everything back together. I don't know if it will do anything but I figured it couldn't hurt.

Then reverse everything and put it back in. You can still see the crease but it is barely noticeable.

Took about 3-4 hours in total and I let the roof dry over night before putting it back in.
Cheers and I hope somebody finds this usefull.

First the obvious, no surprises here, remove all the bits holding the roof liner on:
- Sun Visors (need to be unpluged as well)
- Center dimmer light (unplug)
- 2 rear clips with philips head screws inside under a plastic cover
- Dont know what they are called but undo the handles near the roof that I hang onto for life when my wife drives
- Side trim
Then put both of your front seats down and decide where you want the fold.

You also need to unplug the wires in the centre light that run to the speakers.

I spoke with a guy the other day who did it by taking the old one out and putting the new one in through the front passenger's door -- he said it was real easy and took almost no time at all.
