Roof Opening Panel Shield (Sunroof Headliner)
Going to have my headliner redone. Trim shop will charge a little less if I pull sunroof headliner myself. Also, although they are a well known shop, rather due myself than have someone muscle it out. Found in workshop manual how to remove front two-thirds. Searched but I can't find out how the back one-third comes out.
You're talking about removing the fabric headliner from the sunroof panel itself, correct? That job couldn't be easier. Flip open the sunroof (flip it up in the back), get out of the car and grab the headliner panel through the opening on the roof, and pull straight back. It is held in by spring clips, and will slide out over the roof of the car when you pull on it. Make sure you pull both sides evenly.
Larger front portion came right out by sliding back when tilted open. Still can't figure out how to remove the back smaller portion with the rain gutter. Have to take off sunroof?
