2006 S-type 4.2 Left (driver side) window will close but not open. I do hear a clicking sound on the motor, but it doesn't move. Global opening/closing works for the other windows. Pulled out the regulator and separated the motor. Regulator works. Motor will only power one direction. Any other tests to conduct or is it the motor that needs replacement?

The members there have a better working knowledge/experience than those there in the X-308 forum.

Before scrapping the motor you might try swapping the door control module with the other door and you might try swapping the switch. Either one being bad would would stop the motor from working. If that doesn't fix it then go for a new motor.
