I acquired my XJR-100 in August of 2004 as my 50th birthday present to myself, and it was my daily driver for 18 of the last almost 20 years. Now that I'm retired, it's time to do some cosmetic restoration, especially in the interior. I didn't do too well maintaining the leather; I think I put some conditioner on the seats three times during those 18 years, and now the driver's seat (left front) needs a lot of help. The seat portion has butt prints in the wrinkles and the backrest has split at the outside seam where my butt probably dragged across as I was landing in the seat. So, I'm looking for new seat covers, and in perusing the latest email from SNG Barratt, there's a link to Aldridge Trimming. I go to their site and they have a section on "Mail order trimmed parts and kits." And then I see this picture:
That is the center console trimmed in the -100 colors! OK, so I fill out their enquiry form for a left front seat cover and get a response from Barratt saying they are the US distributors for Aldridge and send pictures. I do that and got a reply that Aldridge doesn't have the pattern for the seat. What!? They don't have a pattern for X308 seats? Apparently not.
So, that raises a few questions. That is definitely a picture of the X308 center console, but does the XK use the same console? Are the seats different between the XJ and XK and Aldridge only has the pattern for XK's? Or, does the XJR use a different seat than the XJ8 in the 308 series? Are there any other UK trimmers that might be able to supply the original leather, color and stitching?
Thanks, Stu; I see what you're talking about. My console can hold a lot of stuff ... LOL. The XJR-100s also have the dark charcoal/red stitching trim, so that's why I thought I was in luck seeing that picture.

There's comfort & sports seats, same frame but the foam & covers are different. That's how I understood it when I replaced the driver's seat in my XJR, I got the cheapest x308 seat I could find & rebuilt it with my memory seat motors (extra sensors) and my original foam & cover.

Yea, I've been doing some Googlin' over the last few days and there are more patterns for the seats than I thought. I've figured out that mine are the Sport Seats and it appears that there are a few other patterns for the comfort seats. And, the XK seats are different than the XJ, with different patterns. I also got to thinking that if I had the driver's seat recovered, the interior would look weird with one new seat and the rest that are 22 years old. So now I'm looking for 22 year-old seats that are in good shape.
