Check the XK8/R forum for the FAQ Sticky at the top. It contains links to Owners Handbooks.

The seat heaters are on the center console, at least on a XK8. You may, or may not have them.

The 'S' button is the 'Sports' transmission shift mode. It causes the transmission to shift at a higher rpm than 'normal' and therefore feels like the engine is more powerful. Drops the mpg 1 or 2.

The 'Valet' button locks the trunk so that a valet cannot search for any hidden valuables when left with only the green 'valet' key.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Jaguar!
