Default Secondary tensioners question

Just received secondary tensioners set and installed 1 side. They don't seem t keep chain as tight as one I replaced. Is this to be expected?

Yes. I assume you pulled the pin. Once the oil is up to pressure it will be okay. Note that you are supposed to turn the engine over with injectors disabled to get oil pressure in the system.

The easiest way to shut off the fuel to the injectors is to hold the accelerator pedal alway down on the floor before and duriing cranking. This shhuts off fuel to the injectors and allows cranking to build oil pressure before first start up.
