I sourced a trunk closing strap with fastener from a member part-out on jaguarforums. You have to drill a hole in your trunk so if you are not about that do not attempt this modification.

I sourced a nut and rubber washer from the local hardware store. I painted the raw metal that was exposed by drilling. I mirrored the placement of the factory pull strap by measuring. Masking tape made measuring easier and drilling safer.

All-in-all a nice simple addition
