If you look at the first sticky on this forum you will see JTIS download. Follow the instructions and you will get all you need and more!

Hi
Here is a PDF file of the drive belt R&I I created from the JTIS software:

1999 XJ (X308) Drive Belt R&I.pdf

Here is also a JPEG file from the JTIS showing the belt and the associated engine componets (Coolant Pump, Generator, etc):
Name: 1999XJ8AccessoryDriveillustrationenginecomponetslist.jpg

Size: 80.5 KB

If you cannot view the JPEG image, you can view the file using this weblink: http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/...ponetslist.jpg

I had my serpintine belt replaced last year (March 2011) during the 100,000 mile service (it still had the original belt on it - 9 years old).

I bought a Gates belt at a local auto parts store (R&R Auto World) for $40.

Your 1999 XJ8 oem belt (looks like part number NCA2211AC) at Jaguar Dealership - Retail s/b $120 & Discount price of $90 (Gaudin Jaguar online prices).

A Dayco Aftermarket belt (5070915) at your local Advanced Auto Parts store (they have many in Florida) is $35.99 and has a full replacement (3 yrs) warantee.

Order the belt on Advance Auto Parts website with pickup at store option (no shipping charges and probably is in stock) and use online discount code a123 (gives you a $10 discount off orders $30 or more).

When pickup at store, your net price online will be $25.99 plus the sales tax.

I just replaced my idler pulley. You'll need a 15 mm socket and breaker bar to move the tensioner. It's a very easy job to change the belt just make sure it's lined up on all the pulleys before starting the engine.
