I have a Danmarr 4’ lift in my garage, which obviously made it much easier. A lift isn’t mandatory, but you need to feel really confident about how the car is supported. Lots of heavy duty wrenching to remove the entire front suspension. The subframe itself is not heavy at all. Once you get the suspension removed, you can remove the nuts on the subframe bolts, unbolt the motor mounts, then knock the bolts out from the subframe. It probably weights....idk....40 pounds? Not too bad for one person. I did the entire job from start to finish by myself, other than I took the subframe to a shop to have the old bushings pressed out and the new bushings pressed in.

I’ll throw in a quick FYI here for your sanity - the bolt holes in the rubber subframe bushings are off center, so you have to be sure to press them into the subframe in the correct orientation. There is a notch in the subframe, and a little arrow molded into the rubber of the bushing. You have to line up the little arrow with the little notch when you press in the bushings.

One other point to consider: it is an order of magnitude easier to replace the starter with the subframe out of the way. By sheer coincidence, my starter had recently started dragging, so I replaced it at the same time I did the subframe. In a way, I was grateful for the coincidence, because it was so easy to replace. I would consider doing that job while the subframe is gone, especially if the starter has never been replaced.
