Default Conti SportContact 6 tires on

So went and got the 305's on, what can I say , unbelievable tire grip compared to the Pirellis even when they were new, in the dry there's no wheel slip just sheer grip and planted in corners, good drive today in wet conditions and was like driving on a dry road, seriously great tire, I was so impressed have ordered 265/35/20 for the front, should be on Friday even though my front pirellis are not even half worn, cant wait to see what the car is like with all four. As with others changing tires everyone's seems to go to the Michelins, I cant see them been much better then these.Another point is the width, I had the 295, but when the 305 is on it looks like a tire protector , the tire comes out well past the rim , lovely wide look , so same should be with the front. Will post pics when I get the fronts on. Below the 305. Think Jaggyx has conti's on his car, not sure width, he might have views on them.

The grip is superb. You will never go wrong with Continental SC6 or Michelin PS4S.

Default RickyJay - Conti Group buy?

RickyJay,
Given your sponsorship connection with Conti, any chance we can get a heavily discounted group buy from them? I wouldn't mind giving them a shot on the next set of tires.

While it’s not the heavily discounted group buy that you inquired about (it’s not exactly the sort of thing that my “connection” can offer, or at least easily—not that I didn’t ask on your behalf) but here is what I can share:

Please. You know it’s my pleasure and I would do anything for you and the rest of “our group.” You already know what Continental does to support our little gatherings and you also know what a “fan” I am of their tires—it’s not like I am a paid spokesperson for them; merely an extremely satisfied customer with Continental Tires on all of my vehicles (and, no, I do not get any discount on any of them.)

Lastly, my “connection” greatly appreciates your interest in their brand.

Default I’m on my 4th set of Conti DWS’

I replaced the OEM all season Conti’s on a recently purchased used 2016 XF. With 30k miles on the OEM tires, they were extremely loud and rode like I was on Fred Flintstone’s tires even though there was plenty of remaining tread. I love the DWS tires. I’ve had them on my 2015 F-Type S and current 2016 F-Type S. The ride and handling is noticeably softer than the OEM PZeros but I can drive earlier and later into the year and colder temperatures. Traction is great in nasty weather! On one occasion I accidentally drove on the interstate thru about 4-inches of wet snow when the forecast was for rain and snow flurries. No problem! I’ve thus far put 48,000 miles on the set I have on the ‘16 F-Type S and am just starting to notice a slight noise increase but the soft ride and handling haven’t worsened in the least bit. These tires might not please those who like to drive hard but I can attest that they are great for those of us who regularly drive long distances in all weather conditions.

Not on my F-Type, but will add my extreme pleasure with the Conti Crosscontact Lx tire. It is one of the best tires I have ever had on my SUV. So much so They are on all my families daily driver vehicles now. I had the DWS tires on my XKR, but ended up going with the PS4 from all the reviews here. Maybe if I get a second set of rims for Christmas I put the Continentals on.
