Hi everyone

New car 2002XJR 100 - am I getting deaf? cannot hear the signals when I have them on - are they supposed to be that quiet - can I make them louder?

The speaker in the steering column often fails -- do a search you will see some posts.

All you have to do is remove the lower cover and get a very small speaker and replace it. I did my x300 using a small one from Radio Shack.

I think I did read one report of the module failing -- the part is not all that expensive ... I think it was about 65.00.
