Hi Guys, I had a bulb go out on the dash cluster in my 2002 Jaguar Vanden Plas. Following instructions I disconnected the neg battery cable and exchange the bulbs for new ones. I reconnected the battery after assembling the cluster and started it. I immediately got alerts. Oil pressure low,(checked level and it is down almost a quart) antifreeze low (I checked and its full) battery not charging?? and the fuel guage is not working. Did I make an error connecting the cluster when reinstalling after changing the bulbs? Is there a connection to the fuel gauge behind the cluster? I heard about a possible ground problem with the cables to the battery so I will check those. Is there anyone who recognizes these symptoms? I thought the bulb replacement went well.. until now. Such a simple repair shouldn't cause this much angst! Thanks so much.

An error we have seen before. Remove the cluster and reseat the connectors. The latch will close but the connector is not correctly seated. Make sure you have a good connection before engaging the lock lever.
Thanks aver1 for your reply. I was thinking along those lines. I’m taking the cluster out again and will adjust the connections. Hopefully she’ll be back and running without the errors. I will keep you posted. Best, Rowkid The day I bought her with 86k miles.
I installed the gauges cluster after changing the bulbs. There are two plugs on bottom at both sides. I didn’t seat them properly and this caused a few CEL warnings including battery not charging and low oil pressure. After removing the cluster again I was able to re seat the electrical plugs and now everything is working fine. Thanks again to this forum for the help. Rowkid
