Question SLCM Replacement

I recently replaced my SLCM on my 2002 XJ8 Vnp with one that had the same VCATS and 008 security codes, my key pads did program correctly, however I still have same problem with my right tail light, it does light one side of the dual filament, also I have no tail lights. Is there any additional programing required? Or any other suggestions anyone may have? Thanks

I think you need to consult an electrical guide and trace some circuits. Throwing parts at it can get expensive. The SLCM does not control side/tail lamps.

BPM controls most exterior lighting.

Sounds like you might have an EARTH (ground (-)) problem.

Thank You Motorcarman; I did the earth ground with no results with my running lights and secondary filament on righlt brake. I also looked at the wiring schematic and it mentions the Body Processor Module in the wiring scheme, do you have any thoughts on this could cause my problem? Thanks Again.

The electrical guide has the module locations and pin-outs in the FRONT MATTER section of the guide.

The preceding page to the actual wiring layout has pin IDs and the function of each pin (input or output and the 'STATE' of the pin) as well as the connectors and their locations.

Many people forget to read that page and just look at the wiring.
