Default So long and thanks for the fishfoolbear

Hi all,

it is with a heavy heart that I tell you that I will likely leave the world of Jaguar ownership after 6 exciting years.
On Saturday night my 1998 XJR was set on fire, ostensibly as a warning to all corporate fat cats.
SZ-Online: Maserati und Jaguar gehen in Flammen auf

I had recently succumbed to the temptation of owning another 4 door super car and bought a Quattroporte. This was set ablaze and the Jaguar was burned out as it was beside it.
The insurance guys are still looking at it, but the damage was extensive.

I'd like to express my sincere thanks to all in the forum for all their help over the years as well as for the entertaining and respectful interaction.

Maybe we'll meet again, if I find the right car. That was a rust-free less than 100,000 km ivory interior dream XJR.

Thanks

Lincoln

Really sorry to read this, and for the loss of your pride possessions in the fire, i'm sure everyone on the Forum will feel the same. Hopefully the authorities will catch the people responsible, and hope you will rejoin the Forum when you get your next Jaguar. Paul.

Sorry to hear you're a victim of mindless destruction of your cars Lincoln. I hope your insurance sort this out fast and you find a suitable replacement. We live in a volatile world right now. Take care.
