SOMEONE STOLE MY XJ8 L!!!
Simply put! Someone stole my XJ8 from myhome and it's been a week and NOTHING!!!! I was hoping it turned up... Can these cars be hot wired or what? I'm thinking it was towed away or something... We have 24hr security in my community and NOTHING! This really bites bad!
My car is mint and I've invested a lot of $$$ and time in it over the years and now it's freaking gone. I have insurance of course but the car has been paid off foryears. How am I going to get the same quality of car again for any monies the insurance company gives me if the car is not recovered?!
The car has the Fondmetal 9x wheels on it, XJR grill, every wood factory option, including lambs wool floor mats, upgraded speakers/dvd for the kids, custom exhaust, K&N cold air intake recent struts, new tires, iridium plugs, 4 new coils, tranny repaired, timing tensioners, belt, new battery,cup holder,fuel pump etc... GONE!! I had extra coverage on the car for upgraded equipment but it does not cover all the $$$$$ I put in on the maintenance!!!!!!!!

Wow sounds like you almost had a new car - sorry to hear.
I can't believe the security company doesn't know anything. I would complain to the association, especially if it was towed. Is there a gate or some kind of entrance/exit where the guards hang out?

Didn't you XJ8 happen to have a full security system on it, not only the standard "blanking" loud alarm on it, (Believe me, set mine off once accidentally.) But also the "security system" which actually severs the connection between the ignition and the engine. At least, that is what I believe I read somewhere about Jaguar security systems..

Sad news, it sucketh mightily.
I hope you get it back in good shape. If not, there's a bright side: think of the fun you'll have shopping for a replacement !
