Hi,

I just purchased a 2002 XJ8 Vanden Plas. It does have a few issues (rearview mirror needed to be replaced, burned out dash bulbs, broken cupholder, and few other seemingly minor annoyances).

I am not very battle tested on Jag problems, and have a question.

This am when I pulled the car out of the garage, there was a small, clear (maybe light pink?) oily spot, about the size of a silver dollar. It was just about centered under the motor.

Wondering what it could be. I don't see any low fluid levels.

I pulled the car back in and put a piece of cardboard underneath. No apparent leak now. The engine was not up to temperature. I am thinking it may be worse when it is hot?

Just curious as to what you pros think.
