Squeal from back right wheel? Brake pads?
I think it's a brake sensor but not sure. Slight squeal but seems to go away when braking. I hear it when coasting with windows down. If it is brakes and the pads need replaced what brand works well on a 98 VDP? I hate brake noise so I want a brand - no squeaking - even if they are soft and I have to replace more often.
Oh if you think it's something other than the brake pads let me know.

OTOH, you say that the noise goes away when the system is under load (braking) but is evident when coasting.
Apart from checking your pads, I'd also check the drive line for a wobbly wheel bearing, prop bearing etc.
Why, because under braking pressure the whole system loads up and can tighten things to mask the loose part.
(Back when I was a student, working in a garage part time, we had one car that ran into the garage 'literally', the owner an elderly guy had 'greased' his discs to stop them from rusting, worked well, no squealing either!!)
