No Reduced Performance or Fail Safe message on the info display, and no Check Engine light?

Before you move on to the ABS control unit look at each wheel sensor and check the connectors.

If you have a 95xj6 I think I saw a tsb on the plugs.

had the same problem on my 2002 VDP and it can be a very expenisive or free mix. Hopefully you don't have to replace the ABS module. I actually had a ball joint and bushing replaced and while doing it they cleaned the sensors and 3k miles later the warnings have not come back. Hopefully its the same for you.

as the other posts advise, check and clean the sensors first. i had the same problem. abs and stability control warning pops up now and then. after about 3 months it stayed on. i bought an abs module from ebay for 150. installed and bled the brakes - 1 hour job. problem fixed. called a couple of shops. they wanted anywhere from 1500 to 2400.
