I have a 99 VDP with a ruined headliner. I figure the sunroof drains are clogged. I have been told the drains are at each corner but where do they drain to? I want to be able to be sure I have them all clear before I replace the headliner.

 

Attached is a diagram of the drains. They go down the forward A pillar and the rear C pillar to the chassis.

 

I definitely appreciate it. Can you tell me where they drain to? In the fender wells?

 

They exit the body behind the wheel arch liners. You remove the front and rear arch liners and the front drains are at the rear of the wheel arch and the rear drains are at the front of the arch. Rubber hoses for cleaning it is easier to insert a small flexible wire from the arch liners to clear the drains. Normally the drains are clear and the problem is debris at the sunroof drain openings.
