Default Surface gap spark plugs?

I took the spark plug covers off and had a look at my spark plugs last week and noticed that the plugs are surface gap plugs, meaning they have no side electrodes. Is there a benefit or disadvantage to this type plug? I am having trouble finding another set of the same type to replace them with.

I plan to take the car on a 2500 mile road trip in 3 months and want to start getting it ready now.

Gimmick plugs, use the plug recommended.

I'd love to know the idiot who fitted these things!
They were designed for 2 stroke outboard motors and high performance 2 stroke motorsickles!
CHUCK 'EM! Pronto!
Fit the correct NGK Platinum or Iridium plugs as they are OEM.

Thank you both for the advice. That will make it much easier to find replacements.

Start another thread.

Your question has nothing to do with this one and only confuses things!!

Just guessing here: you probably need upper shock mount. Google changing upper shock mounts on a XTree OA (cwist sakes, siwi: x308) Jaguar and you'll come up with many many pieces in this forum on that subject including where you can buy them.
