I got a question about suspension on my xj8, what would you recommend for shocks/struts for my 2000 xj8 with automatic stability control?

If you got new shocks, what did you end up with and how do you like them driving so far? In near future, I have CATS on my XJR ( but even without CATS if possible) but I want a slightly lower ride and a shocks that is\works like Koni Special Active (former FSD) that I have on my non-M BMW for years. It gives it some stiffness especially for cornering at high speed on freeways, while retaining a comfy ride on paved road but not near track-racing stiffness.

 

Thanks for the response. I haven’t gotten shocks yet but I am leaning towards bilstein, they are a little pricey so I am trying to save the money first. I am not sure about which suspension package I have though. Do you have any advice for me on how I can find out?

 

Have you downloaded the handbook (Owner's manul) at this forum? I also use the NTSA website to get my vin info but it does not tell me a lot in detail, at https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/
