Default Swap block to RR 4.4 liter possible?

I've seen one individual promote selling a modified 4.4 Range Rover block for our XJs and XKs... Could we theoretically just swap it out the 4.0 with the 4.4s? They are the same engine just bored out for more torque

Maybe boring out the original block is a safer bet

Should be about the same as swapping to the 4.2L. Maybe Count Iblis could give you a few pointers too. Give it a shot...&take lots of pics.

Would have to be careful buying the engine, the earlier 4.4 engines were a BMW M62 V8.

So the engine would have to come from a 2006-2009 Range Rover.

Yeah, I am pretty sure I do not want the POS engine from my Discovery in my Jaguar.

You might want to read up on the 4.4L AJ41 engine used in the L319 LR3 (Disco 3), L320 Range Rover Sport and L322 Range Rover Vogue (post 2005) it's a Jaguar engine....
