I have a Jabra Freeway in my car, and I like it quite a bit. It clips to the visor. It has a motion sensor that turns it on and off automatically, three speakers, has voice commands, and reads texts aloud. It also has an FM transmitter to stream music or play calls over the car speakers without the CD changer hack.
I just bought a T605 to install because it seemed the thing to do with these cars. I imagine that being wired, sound over the car's system is better, and it never needs you be charged.
Other than that, are there advantages to the T605 because now I'm thinking of just keeping the Jabra.
BTW, there might soon be a new T605 for sale, cheap.

 

The T605 (or equivalent Parrot) becomes an automated part of the Jag... The Jabra will ALWAYS be just a lump hanging on the visor that requires charging.

 

Well, I have had the Jabra for a little over 4 months now, and just recharged it for the second time yesterday. With the motion sensor on/off, the battery life is pretty darn good. When it gets low, I take it into the house or my office and it is ready by the time I walk out.
As far as looks (and, of course this is completely subjective), I think they are a wash. The Jabra is a bit bigger, but contours along with the visor. With the T605, there is the unit, that IMHO disrupts the flow of the console, and the little mic, which looks like an afterthought. No clear winner, for me, on looks.
Is there any other reason I should do the work and jack up my CD player?
