Tail lamp failure
Hello to all,
I have had some issues lately with my wife's 2001 X308. We aren't new to the Jag community having owned several XJ6 models, an XK120, and currently a 70 E type ots. We are in the mountains of Western NC, and these cars are perfect for mountain roads.
We are having the dreaded tail lamp failure. I have searched these forums for days now and still cannot nail it down. I have checked the solder point on the green wire on the t/s switch, it is good, all fuses are good and well hidden, rear fog lamps are good as are brake and signals. The bulbs are the correct Osram double filament. Also not working are pilot lamps and rear markers. I'm almost to the point of running new wires from the fuse boxes. Oh, and I have already checked the wires on the boot hinge, they are fine and the trunk lights and license lights work.
Anybody have any new ideas?
Regards,
Stu
