Default Is there a way to install a XJ40 diff into X308 XJ8?

Hi, guys.
I have an option to get a FREE 3.77 diff with LSD from XJ40. I'm feeling a lack of power and a LSD is a quite handy option during russian winters.
Is it possible to fit it to mine XJ8? What mods are required?

Probably easier in an xj8 than an xjr computer wise. Search my threads. I have an old thread that walks you through the mechanicals. I have 3.58 with a loc on my car.

Adam, what did you do with an offset of an older style diff? Did you just fitted a jurid coupling or driveshaft mods were required? Thanks.

You need the diff and the matching frontplate. The front plate needs to be modified to have exhaust hangers. Other than that it's a bolt in. The offset is minimal and requires no modification. Just make sure to get the diff with the right coupling for the jurrid. Some of the older ones have a 4 bolt flange that will not work. Swapping the flange from the x308 differential doesn't always work because of the spline count on the pinion gear.
