Let's face it, the housing and fastening for the third brake light are a lousy design. One cleat is missing from my back window. Was that way when I bought it used. The receiving housing is broken and wont fasten to the one good cleat. I also think there is too much weight on the housing.

I can find a new OEM part for $150. Used housing for my SDZ code are scarce online right now. But they would probably break again even in careful use.

Surely all you clever folk have found a solution to this? If I could find one cleat to slide into the good receptacle that would help.
