Default Ticking engine sound after oil change.

Hi guys just changed my engine oil with owner manual recommendation . But i used Bosch oil filter its made in china i feel I did big mistake by using this oil filter now i can hear ticking sound from the engine could it be from that filter? And if i replace this filter with the original jaguar filter will this sound go away or it already damaged something inside the motor? Maybe valve or lifter?
What should i do ?

Thank you.

If the weight is correct & the amount of oil is accurate then yes I'd check & ensure that the filter is snug, it could be rattling w/ engine vibration. If the noise presented itself only & directly after the OC then it's related.

This sounds like some build up somewhere has let go from the clean fluid and its being enunciated now. First find out where its ticking, those stethoscope engine probes are cheap.

I doubt it the filter itself, there's nothing there that's a moving part. I have to inquire, have you done your tensioners?

I had a noisy filter that was loose & rattling w/ engine vibration lol drove me crazy & it all backtracked to Jiffy Lube, go figure lol.

What did Jiffy Lube have to do with it, may I ask? ...I can see if they under-filled it.

They didn't tighten the damn filter correctly. If not for the rattling it would've been leaking or off soon, just enough to drip fill the lip/rim on the filter & to rattle lol.

The ticking comes from the left side under the valve cover . I changed the upper tensioner the primary still plastic i think its not the tensioner because this sound came after changing the oil .

Filter is tight and fit correctly. I will change the filter itself and see if the ticking goes away. Ist good idea to add anti friction liquid? I heard about and minerals oil called molybdenum if im not wrong that makes the internal engine parts move more smooth and less friction

Before you go adding supplements be sure you have the correct weight/viscosity & amount.

If the noise wasn't present before the oil change then double check the same weight was used.

I understand the want for a simple solution and I hope it is....but, I would remove to cam cover and have a peak with a bore scope. It doesn't take much to check the chain tension and with the scope, check the guides.

Your old oil had thickened up from use and now the newer thinner clean oil is presenting an issue that was probably there, its just more prominent with the clean oil.

I would remove the cover but not today. When i changed the upper tensioner the main tensioner and guide were in good condition.

Amount and viscosity are correct. I understand it might be the tensioners but since this occurred with non original oil filter i think its the filter

What grade oil did you have before, -30 or -40? What grade did you use for the oil change? It is unlikely that it is the filter but you can give it a try. If you used -40 before and put -30 in, that would be a more likely cause. As for additives, I think Liqui Moly (MoS2) is about the only one that will do no harm and it might somewhat quieten the engine noises.

I used 5w40 full synthetic liqui moly

The physics escapes me: what would the oil filter have to do with it? Get a stethoscope and find from where the noise is coming.

It sounds like injector noise to me. The timing of when you noticed the noise could be coincidental. Run a couple rounds of BG 44k fuel system cleaner through the tank. Snake oil is rarely the answer for a real problem, but if dirty injectors are what's causing the noise, 44k will fix it.

It can lower the oil pressure.
