Default Timing chain bottom sprokets

I am changing the timing chains on my 2000 XJR. Everything is going better then I had expected. I did just have a question come up that I hope someone can help. When I removed the first chain going to the crank, I slid off the sprocket. I left the back one on. When I reinstalled the front sprocket, I noticed that the teeth on the sprockes where 1/2 tooth off from each other. I made sure I installed it the same way I had removed it (I think). If I flip it over the teeth line up. I also notice to dots on the sprockets. Do thay have any meaning?

Thanks for any help.
Scott

Scott, your doing right, they need to be a 1/2 tooth out to be correct. Checkout the pdf 3 page 2
Cheers
