torque converter bolts?
Is there a special tool to remove the torque converter bolts from the x308 xjr? This is the only thing that's holding me back from pulling the engine out.
It's a bit strange. The bolts appear only through the starter housing hole and nothing below. It's bolted on opposite side compared to my 97 xjr where as the bottom cover comes off and the bolts are visible to get your tool inside.
I found this thread & I may be blind, but i don't recall finding a plate to remove to get to the bolts. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s21-faq-57639/
I removed mine easily by pulling a rubber cover off the bottom of the trans mission bell housing. No special tool just a socket, and it came out easily. Definitely not 12 point.
