When ordering my re manufactured transmission I asked what fluid they recommended I use for my 18 month unlimited mile warranty. Now this will blow you away!! The guy asked if I had a advance auto near buy, and said that he recommended that I buy the store brand ATF that says on the back OK for use in BMW,Mercedes,and Jaguars and at $ 7.00 a Quart that is a deal. I asked about Mobil 1 ATF full synthetic and he said that they do not recommend synthetic in tranmissions. Now this is a shop that sales hundreds of transmissions with 18 month warrantys. Just thought I would pass this along.

Perhaps this fluid is guaranteed to cause a tranny failure in 19 months?

 

Perhaps because we own jaguars it cant be any good unless it is expensive!!

 

Could be that if the trans fails he can blame it on the fluid you got!
