Default Troubleshooting Cruise system

Does anyone know where I can find a complete trouble shooting
guide so I can correctly diagnose my problem. I would truly
appreciate it VERY much. 1998 XJ-8
--Alldata doesn't have one and I can find a lot of helpful info on here and other sites but not enough. I'm thinking there is a problem in my Steering column , just guessing. I'm so tired of guessing!!!!

The JTIS21 has a good guide for that. Have you downloaded it?

Well I don't know what I was thinking....I have the CD JTIS Issue 21. It doesn't have anything at all in the spot where Cruise Control info is supposed to be, blank. Unless you know of another back door or something it of any use. Can you help me out of this hole?

I think I have the solution. Open the 1998 XK8 and look for the speed control pinpoint test procedure. I expect the XJ and XK will be wired the same.
